Tactics

Tactics are one of the most important aspects of warfare, even today. No how well trained, or how much money was spent on the armor and weapons of an army, they can be defeated by a far weaker enemy if the enemy has far superior tactics. Tactics are what allowed the Spartans to nearly hold off the Persians at the battle of Thermopylae even though they were outnumbered roughly 1 to 21 in the battle. Tactics were the deciding force in whether and empire would stand or fall, and this is proven in the Romans, Mongols, and Egyptians superior tactics that allowed their empires to flourish and conquer. This page will break down the different tactics each empire used in battle to be successful, and sometimes not so successful.
